Now that I am back to my haven, I am happy to share some of the things I learned while I am away writing for a supposed project. Disappointments come and go, and so I must write more. But I digress.

There are many forms of written content a client can ask you to do. It is necessary to know what you, as a content writer, can produce. You have to think about and identify the exact form of written content you can deliver. Or else you end up failing to meet your client’s needs, and worse, not get paid.

Different content writing agencies offer various written content services. The services are numerous and not limited to blogging or article writing only. Each client has a particular need for his business that is dependent on a specific niche.

Let’s check some of these written content:

Articles

These are non-fiction written content about a topic addressed to a particular target audience, published as a part of a newspaper, magazine, ezines, journals, etc. The types of articles include essays, how-to’s or guides, interviews, trends, lifestyles, reviews. opinions (op-eds), authority write-ups, analytical news, etc.

Most articles follow a general format – title, author, body, conclusion.

Blogs are written content that serves as entries or posts on a website regularly updated and mostly with an informational or conversational style.

Unbelievably, a list consolidated the unfolding of blogs, 73 in all to be exact. The list even includes articles as blog posts.

E-books

The name e-book is short for electronic book.

E-books are books published in electronic or digital form. They are non-editable and consists of text and images, or both usually read via e-readers, or desktop or laptops.

Online Ads

In the days of old, advertisements are in the form of selling products and services by posters, television spots, and print publications.

Today, ads had emerged online in many forms like paid searches, pay-per-click, paid social, text and visual ads, banner ads, landing pages, sponsored contents, e-mail campaigns, press releases, newsletters, etc.

More Forms of Written Content

There are more forms of written content you may be asked to write – anecdotes, annual reports, B2B communications, corporate brochures and histories, executive biographies, presentations, proposals, etc.

The use of written content, to persuade consumers or the audience to buy a product or request service, is now widespread.

Maybe it’s time for you to visit agencies or websites that need content writers. Hone that craft! Just be sure that what you choose to commit to is your forte.
